Privacy Policy

Information you give us

• Account: name, username, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash, so we can't read them.
• Profile: photo, banner, title, bio, location, skills, languages, website, social links, WhatsApp number and public contact email, only what you choose to add.
• Your work: projects, briefs, files, portfolio items, reviews, comments, resources and messages.
• Jobs: job posts, applications, and any CV, cover letter or ID document you attach to an application.
• Verification: the ID document and photo you submit, kept only until a decision is made.
• Payments: your plan and receipts, and the payment method's brand and last 4 digits (or mobile money network and last 4 digits of the number). We never store full card numbers or CVCs.
• Support and newsletter: what you send us, and your email if you subscribe to our newsletter.

Information collected automatically

• Portfolio and presentation views: when someone opens your portfolio or a presentation, we record the visit, how long it lasted and which sections were viewed, linked to a random visitor ID (not a name) so you can see your analytics.
• Security data: IP address and basic request information, used to prevent abuse (for example limiting repeated sign-in attempts) and kept in security logs.

Libwanda uses a small number of cookies, all needed to run the site. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

• lw_session: keeps you signed in (14 days).
• lw_lang: remembers your language.
• lw_theme: remembers light or dark mode.
• lw_vid: a random ID that lets us count unique visitors to portfolios and presentations (1 year).

• To run Libwanda: your account, projects, reviews, presentations, portfolio, messages, jobs and billing.
• To send service emails: email confirmation, password resets, receipts and important account notices.
• To show you notifications and your analytics.
• To keep the platform safe: preventing spam, fraud and abuse, and reviewing reported content, verifications, jobs and resources.
• To improve Libwanda, using aggregated information.
• To send our newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

• Everyone: your public profile and anything you make Public. Unlisted projects are visible to anyone with the link.
• Reviewers you request: the project, its brief and files.
• Your clients: the presentation you share, never your brief, private notes or reviewer comments.
• Employers: your application and any documents you attach, for jobs you apply to.
• The people you message.
• Our administrators: only as needed to run, secure and moderate the platform. Opening an ID document is recorded in our audit log.

We use service providers to help operate Libwanda. Depending on the service, they may process personal information to provide hosting, email delivery, or AI features.

• Hostinger: hosts the Libwanda Platform.
• Google: delivers Libwanda emails through Gmail.
• Anthropic: if the Libwanda Assistant is enabled, processes the messages you send to it to generate replies.

We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the safety of our users.

• Account and content: while your account is open. When you delete content, it's removed from the platform; when we delete your account, your content and uploads are deleted.
• Verification documents: kept privately with your verification record once approved, viewable only by administrators. Deleted if the request is rejected, if you withdraw a pending request, or if your account is deleted.
• Job application documents: deleted when the application is withdrawn or the job is deleted.
• Receipts and security logs: kept as long as needed for accounting, legal and security purposes.

• View and edit your profile and settings at any time, and change who can see each project.
• Delete your projects, files, resources and other content.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any newsletter email.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing info.libwanda@gmail.com from your account's email address.

We'll respond within 30 days.

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access checks on every uploaded file, rate limiting, and audit logs for sensitive actions. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you notice anything suspicious.

Libwanda isn't for children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
